Sadly, our first experience with a dog psychology trainer was a complete nightmare and not one we would wish on our worst enemy. We hired a well-known trainer who had quite an impressive list of experience and famous people she had supposedly served but she scammed us! This person even appeared on local television shows and in newspaper articles during which she appeared very charming and trustworthy. But after two visits, she disappeared with our money and never returned our calls or e-mails, even though we persisted for over 7 months. We were at our wit's end! We had no idea what we were going to do. We had lost our money and still had a very unhappy pack!

Thankfully, we heard about another trainer using dog psychology methods and contacted Pack Rules Inc. Twilla was sensitive to our situation and insisted we take three days to review her contract prior to signing. In addition, she made that once-in-a-life-time exception for us and refused to accept payment until we finished the entire training package. Clearly she understood how conflicted we were. On the one hand, we desperately needed help with our dog and we knew we wanted someone who would implement the dog psychology ideals we had see on the Dog Whisperer. On the other hand, we had just been robbed by a trainer we thought we could trust. Twilla never judged us for being cautious and hesitant to offer our trust. She stuck by us and gave us time to learn that we could, indeed, trust her fully.

In regards to training, Twilla exhibited a calm and confident manner with both our dog and us. Her no-nonsense approach was neither confrontational nor cruel and our dog responded to the dog psychology methods she used so quickly, it was as if she had found a magical on-off switch. It was truly amazing to hear her explain what to expect from each session and watch it materialize exactly as she said it would. I must admit that Twilla and her program do require a great deal of dedication and consistency but we believed that our dog was worth it. We accepted responsibility for him when we brought him into our home and we were willing to do whatever it took to make life in our pack a happier existence. Besides, all our hard work paid off, in spades!

Twilla was patient in answering all our many questions as she taught us about dog psychology and how to access our inner pack leader. The program she has developed made the entire process accessible to us by providing clear, easy-to-understand instructions and guidance during our journey of becoming our dog's qualified pack leader. We now have the skills to be the pack leader to our dog as well as any dog we may bring into our pack in future. Furthermore, Twilla has always responded to our calls and e-mails quickly and effeciently, even though our sessions have concluded. True to her word, she is available to answer questions and offer advise and suggestions should we need them.

Currently, we have yet to hear from the trainer who heartlessly took advantage of us but we are able to move past this difficult experience due to the understanding and genuine service we received from Twilla. The consummate professional, she came to our rescue: saving our dog from certain euthanasia and restoring our faith in people. We will be forever grateful to her. (J.M. Edmonton, AB)
